Conditions were a danger to public health, so the business was ordered to close immediately. It can't reopen until an inspector confirms the problems are fixed.

  • Approved source; food safe and unadulterated
    • High priority: Stop Sale issued due to food not being in a wholesome, sound condition. Two flies crawling on donuts displayed at front counter. One powdered donut and one jelly filled donut.
  • Food out of temperature
    • High priority: Time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41°F. On counter at front of kitchen: whipped topping (63°F - Cold Holding). The whipped topping contains milk and the employee at the front counter stated it has been held at room temperature for approximately one hour, then moved it back to a cooler to cool to 41°F.
  • Handwashing and hygienic practices
    • Basic: Opened employee beverage container in a cold holding unit with food to be served to customers. Employee water bottle stored on top of milk jugs inside walk-in cooler. An employee removed the drink bottle from the area during this inspection.
  • Clean clothes, hair restraints, jewelry
    • Basic: Employee wearing jewelry other than a plain ring on their hands/arms while preparing food. One employee handling bagels with bracelets on both wrists. The employee removed the bracelets during this inspection.
  • Food-contact surfaces designed and maintained
    • Basic: Food storage container/container lid cracked or broken. 1. One cracked plastic pan on dish rack above three-compartment sink. 2. Chipped ice bucket near ice machine. An employee removed the ice bucket from use during this inspection.
    • Basic: Ice buildup in reach-in freezer and/or walk-in freezer. Buildup of ice on boxes and around door inside walk-in freezer.
  • Garbage and refuse
    • Basic: Open dumpster lid. Lid of dumpster left open. An employee closed the lid during this inspection.
    • Basic: Garbage on the ground and/or pad around dumpster. Trash and pallets on ground beside dumpster inside enclosure.

    • High priority: Live, small flying insects found. Two flies crawling on donuts displayed at front counter. Stop sales issued. Three flies flying in kitchen behind front counter. Two flies crawling on lid of plastic pan and on wire rack at front counter. One fly flying in kitchen near back door.

    • Basic: Unclean building components, attachments or fixtures. 1. Floor throughout kitchen soiled with trash and food debris. 2. Several ceiling tiles near air vents in lobby soiled with mold-like substance.
